The subways and concourse of Baden-Baden station have been extensively modernised at a cost of around 1.4 million euros. In keeping with the design motto ‘Bäderstadt’ (spa town), the character of Baden-Baden is now reflected throughout the station.
When designing the station, emphasis was placed on a coherent and uniform concept. The elaborately designed mosaic on the walls is the highlight of the modernisation work. Travellers and visitors can also look forward to new seating, new windows and new lighting in the station concourse. The toilet facilities have also been modernised.
In addition to the artistic redesign, new, environmentally friendly LED lights have also been installed in the subways to ensure a pleasant journey. The municipal subway was also given a new, friendly coat of paint. The sandstone façade of the station building was also restored in line with the preservation order.
Overall, the modernisation measures and new furnishings have significantly upgraded Baden-Baden station, offering travellers and visitors much more comfort.
