Since May 2024, platform 1 at the station Lichtenstein (Sachs) is being rebuilt and modernised to provide accessibility in the future. The construction work at the station is expected to last until the end of 2024. Among other things, travellers and visitors can look forward to new waiting facilities and information media on platform 1.
We want to provide all our guests with a comfortable and barrier-free stay and access to the stopping trains at our stations. With this goal in mind, we are working on successively modernising our stations accordingly. Renovation work has also been underway at the station Lichtenstein (Sachs) since May 2024. Firstly, the existing platform 1 will be dismantled and then rebuilt. With a new height of 55 cm, the platform will enable barrier-free boarding and alighting of trains in future. The new platform will also be equipped with new weather shelters and benches. New display cases and dynamic displays for informing travellers and visitors will also make it easier to find information on site in future. Construction work at the station Lichtenstein (Sachs) is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
In order to minimise the restrictions resulting from the construction work, a noise barrier has been erected on site. This should provide neighbours with the best possible protection from noise.
