The DB Lounge at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, freshly renovated at the end of 2022, is located outside the station on the first floor of a building on Konrad-Adenauer-Platz at Heinz-Schmöle-Straße 12. Depending on the arrival platform, the entrance to the DB Lounge can be reached on foot in two to five minutes.

How is the DB Lounge at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof designed and equipped?

Deutsche Bahn is modernising its 15 lounges according to a uniform design concept. With the exception of the DB Lounge in Köln Hauptbahnhof, all modernisations have been completed, and the DB Lounge in Düsseldorf since the end of 2022. The DB Lounge in Düsseldorf also invites its guests into very modern, bright and comfortable rooms. Like all DB Lounges, it is divided into a bistro area, a relaxation area and a work area. 

In the bistro area, an elongated, slightly curved self-service counter takes centre stage. Cold and hot drinks are available for free self-service from a drinks dispenser and a vending machine. Guests can take a comfortable seat in lounge chairs, on stools or on chairs at tables of various sizes.

In the relaxation area there are wing chairs with side tables. Large photos of regional landscapes create a peaceful atmosphere. If you want to read, you can choose between numerous magazines and daily newspapers. 

In the work area, there is a high table with a centre screen and power strips. Travellers can sit and work here on stools with seat shells.

In all areas, travellers can see the current departure times on monitors. All areas have power sockets. A staircase leads down to the modernised washrooms and toilets. The DB Lounge in Düsseldorf does not offer a Premium Lounge.

Who has access to the DB Lounge?

A general ticket requirement applies in the DB Lounges (daily ticket for Deutsche Bahn long-distance transport). Tickets are checked at reception using a scanner or by the lounge staff. The ticket or the code from the BahnBonus app is required for this.

Access to the DB Lounges is granted to BahnBonus status customers and one person accompanying them, BahnCard 100 1st class holders and one person accompanying them as well as travellers with a daily DB long-distance 1st class ticket at the Flex fare. BahnBonus status customers and accompanying persons also require a valid ticket that entitles them to use Deutsche Bahn's long-distance services on a daily basis.

In the DB Lounge at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, authorised rail travellers can refresh themselves with hot and cold drinks free of charge. These are available at the self-service counter. Guests can tap water and soft drinks such as Coca Cola, Coca Cola Zero, Sprite and Fanta from a drinks dispenser. In addition, a machine provides coffee variations, cocoa and hot water for tea at the touch of a button. These are available on the shelves along with portion packs of sugar and coffee creamers, cups, glasses and serviettes. Snacks can be purchased from a vending machine.

In addition to laptop workstations, free Internet access via WiFi is also available in the DB Lounges. Simply select the "DB Lounge" network, open the browser and confirm the terms and conditions. A final click on "Surf for free now" establishes the connection to the Internet.
