<p>Deutsche Bank Park, the home ground of Eintracht Frankfurt football club, has been given the name ‘Frankfurt Arena’ by the <a href="https://www.uefa.com/euro2024/">European Championship organiser UEFA</a> (Union of European Football Associations) for the duration of the European Championship. <p dir="ltr">The Frankfurt Arena is located in the south of Frankfurt am Main in the Sachsenhausen district and is also known as the Waldstadion among Frankfurters. With the station Frankfurt am Main Stadion to the west of the stadium it is providing perfect public transport connections. The Frankfurt (Main) Stadion tram stop and the Frankfurt (Main) Stadion Osttribüne bus stop on the north-eastern side of the stadium also provide two further connections to public transport, making it easy to get to the stadium in many different ways.</p>
<p>A special architectural feature of the stadium is the tent roof. It covers the entire pitch and can be opened or closed depending on the weather. The construction made of steel, wire ropes and the tent membrane made of polyester fabric is visually modelled on a wheel rim with countless spokes. A total of 47,000 fans can be accommodated in the weather-protected stadium on the match days of the European Championship and can look forward to an unforgettable sporting experience together.</p>

<p dir="ltr">The 2024 European Championship are all about environmental friendliness. Ideally, travelling to the stadium should also be organised accordingly. As a national partner of UEFA EURO 2024, Deutsche Bahn, among others, will be transporting EURO guests to the football matches in the Frankfurt Arena in a climate-friendly way. The city of Frankfurt (Main) has three major long-distance train stations - Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof, Frankfurt (Main) Süd and Frankfurt (Main) West - and is therefore easy to reach by train. Those flying to Frankfurt for a European Championship match, on the other hand, can continue their journey to the stadium at the airport station (FRA) by public transport. Like the football stadium itself, all four stations are connected to the public transport network, whereby the excellent connection to the S-Bahn should be emphasised.</p>
<p dir="ltr">There is a special ticket offer for local transport for ticket holders of the games in the Frankfurt Arena. The admission ticket for a match is also valid as a 36-hour ticket for the entire Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) network. The ticket is valid from 06:00 on the day of the match until 18:00 the following day, making it ideal for exploring Frankfurt and the surrounding area before or after the match.</p>

It is also an impressive <a href="https://www.einkaufsbahnhof.de/frankfurt-hauptbahnhof/">Einkaufsbahnhof</a> with bakeries, popular fast food chains and a ServiceStore DB. It offers a wide range of food options for pre-match refreshments. Once you've fueled up, you can pass the time before leaving for the stadium by browsing through the on-site magazine and book shop or using the free WiFi to search online. Luggage does not have to be taken into the stadium, but can be stored for up to 24 hours in the lockers on the ground floor of the station at platforms 15/16 and 19/20. You can also withdraw money from ATMs at Reisebank and Euronet on the south side of the station. There is a public toilet at platform 9/10. <p>The long-distance train station <a href="https://www.bahnhof.de/en/frankfurt-main-sued">Frankfurt (Main) Süd</a> is located close to the city centre on the southern side of the Main. Guests travelling to the European Championship via this station can stop for refreshments at a bakery in the station and in the surrounding cafés before continuing their journey to the stadium. The station also has free WiFi and a Reisebank cash machine. A public toilet is located directly at the station's main exit. <p dir="ltr">From the station Frankfurt (Main) Süd, take the number 61 bus to Frankfurt Arena:</p>

<p>Frankfurt Airport is located on the south-western outskirts of the city, nine kilometres from Frankfurt Arena. Football fans travel from the airport from <a href="https://www.bahnhof.de/en/frankfurt-main-flughafen-regionalbahnhof">Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof</a>, which is located in the basement of Terminal 1 on Level 0. From the arrivals level of airport sections A, B or C, travellers follow the signs to the Airport City Mall/Regional Train Station. On the way from the gate to the train station, various food options are offered in restaurants or as a snack on the go. There are also numerous shops such as souvenir shops and newsagents. If you need some quick cash on the way, you can get it from a Deutsche Bank or Reisebank ATM. Before travelling on to the stadium, you can store your luggage at the service point in the airport. There are also public toilets in the terminal building. The Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof is accessible via a lift, stairs and escalators. The S-Bahn trains depart from there. <p>It is only five kilometres from Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof to the European Championship stadium. <a href="https://www.nextbike.de/frankfurt/en/">Nextbike</a> and <a href="https://www.callabike.de/en/cities-frankfurt">Call a Bike</a> hire bikes are available in the vicinity of Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof for travelling to the stadium by bike. The route first crosses the river Main and, after a short stretch through the Sachsenhausen neighbourhood, turns off onto quiet park and forest paths. The attractive location in the city forest makes travelling to the Frankfurt Arena by bike a pleasure. With an area of around 5000 hectares, Frankfurt's city forest is the largest inner-city forest in Germany. The city forest is part of Frankfurt's green belt, which is Frankfurt's most important local recreation area, covering around 80 square kilometres.</p>
