As part of the construction work, the platform at the station Bremerhaven-Lehe Personenbahnhof  will be extended so that longer trains can stop here in the future.

The capacity of the station Bremerhaven-Lehe Personenbahnhof is being successively expanded in two construction phases to enable more people to board the railway system in comfort. In the first phase of the conversion, the existing northbound platform has been extended from 170 metres to 225 metres since mid-March 2024. This will allow longer trains to stop at the station in future. The work of the first construction phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

In the subsequent second construction phase, an additional barrier-free platform will be built on track 1. This will allow longer trains and even more trains to stop at the station Bremerhaven-Lehe Personenbahnhof in future. In order for this construction phase to begin, however, extensive work on the overhead lines and safety technology is required in advance.

Efforts are being made to minimise restrictions at the station as far as possible. For this reason, some construction work is also planned for the night. However, disruptions cannot be completely ruled out. Accordingly, travellers, visitors and residents should be prepared for restrictions on site for the duration of the construction work. We ask for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
