When you enter the Comfort or Premium Lounge at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, you leave the hustle and bustle of the station behind you. The two DB Lounges are located on the first floor and are easy to find thanks to good signposting or with the help of our track and site plan. Guests can get there by lift, escalator or stairs. The Comfort Lounge is located directly next to the DB Travel Centre. The separate Premium Lounge is located directly opposite and welcomes its guests with an invitingly designed glass entrance area. Both lounges have been renovated and modernised and have shone in new splendour since their reopening in January 2022.

Both DB Lounges at Berlin Hauptbahnhof offer a bistro area, a work area and a relaxation area. Wide, high glass fronts allow plenty of light into the spacious rooms. Direct and indirect lighting ensures a pleasant atmosphere for working or relaxing. From upholstered stools and benches in the entrance area to stools and armchairs with seat shells at the tables and comfortable wing chairs: There is a suitable seat for every wish.

A long self-service drinks counter takes centre stage in the bistro area of the Comfort Lounge. Here, guests can help themselves to hot and cold drinks free of charge. Since the remodelling, they can also help themselves from a snack vending machine.

In the premium area, guests receive a barista service and free cold snacks at the service counter. Hot and cold drinks and hot snacks are served free of charge at the seat.

Long high tables with stools and power strips on both sides serve as workstations in both lounges. A privacy screen in the centre separates opposing work areas. Those who wish can also work at normal tables. Sockets are also available there.

Guests can always keep an eye on the current departure times on monitors. Numerous newspapers and magazines are available on shelves. Both lounges offer a modern washroom with toilets.

The Premium Lounge is more exclusive. The space is more generous and offers more privacy. The materials are more refined and the additional lounge chairs with small tables and floor lamps are more comfortable.

Who has access to the DB Lounge?

A general ticket requirement applies in the DB Lounges (ticket for Deutsche Bahn long-distance transport that is valid for the day). Tickets are checked at reception using a scanner or by the lounge staff. The ticket or the code from the BahnBonus app is required for this.

Access to the DB Lounges is granted to BahnBonus status customers and one accompanying person, BahnCard 100 1st class holders and one person travelling with them as well as travellers with a daily DB long-distance ticket 1st class at the Flexpreis fare. BahnBonus status customers and accompanying persons also require a valid ticket that entitles them to use Deutsche Bahn's long-distance services on a daily basis.

Only status customers with a valid Platinum status level in conjunction with a DB long-distance ticket, holders of a 1st class BahnCard 100 and travellers with a 1st class long-distance ticket at the Flex fare (excluding tickets with departure and destination within the areas of the respective transport associations) have access to the premium areas of the DB Lounges in Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof, Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, Hannover Hauptbahnhof, Köln Hauptbahnhof, Mannheim Hauptbahnhof and München Hauptbahnhof.

What snacks and drinks are offered in the DB Lounge at Berlin Hauptbahnhof?

In the Comfort Lounge, guests can refresh themselves free of charge with hot and cold drinks from the self-service counter. In addition to drinks dispensers for water, Coca Cola, Coca Cola Zero, Fanta and Sprite, there is a vending machine for specialty coffees, tea, hot chocolate and hot water. Various types of tea, coffee cream and sugar as well as cups are offered within easy reach. The snack vending machine offers healthy snacks such as Gouda fig and pastrami sandwiches, kebab, humus and spinach, chicken ceasar and tandoori wraps, bowls with salads and fusilli with prosciutto. Bars, smoothies and yfood drinks round off the selection.

The Premium Lounge stands out thanks to its larger, free drinks and snack offer as well as its barista and table service. The centrepiece of the Premium Lounge is the elongated service counter, where guests can help themselves to small snacks such as fruit, fresh pretzels and jars of nuts free of charge. A large water dispenser is located next to it.

The food and drinks menu in the Premium lounge offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. At request, the service personnel will inform you about ingredients and allergies. The menu currently includes cold non-alcoholic drinks such as natural or classic water, apple spritzer, orange juice, organic lemonade, Coca Cola, Coca Cola Zero, Fanta, Sprite and Fuze Tea lemon. Beer, wine and sparkling wine are also available. 

Guests can choose between light or non-alcoholic Erdinger wheat beer, Bitburg Premium Pils, dry white and red wine and dry Rotkäppchen sparkling wine. The hot drinks in the Premium Lounge are fairtrade-certified and are prepared with milk alternatives if required. Americano, café crème, decaffeinated coffee, cappuccino, café au lait, latte macchiato, espresso, flat white, hot chocolate and tea are available. 

Breakfast includes Bircher muesli or croissants, with a choice of butter, honey, jam or Nutella. From 11:00, travellers can fortify themselves with lentil or tomato soup and a bread of their choice. Wraps with sweet chilli chicken, panini with tomato mozzarella and sandwiches with Maasdam cheese and coleslaw are also available. Lisa's rosemary kettle chips, an antipasto cream with hummus or tomato and your choice of bread, apple crumble cake and American Classic brownies round off the range.

In addition to laptop workstations, free Internet access via WiFi is also available in the DB Lounges. Simply select the "DB Lounge" network, open the browser and confirm the terms and conditions. A final click on "Surf for free now" establishes the connection to the Internet.
